2.1 Gmail Integration
When you connect your Gmail account, we access:
- Email messages: Content of incoming emails to generate AI responses
- Email metadata: Sender addresses, timestamps, subjects, and labels
- Message IDs: To track which emails have been processed
Specifically, we request these Gmail permissions:
- gmail.readonly: To read incoming emails
- gmail.send: To send AI-generated responses
- gmail.modify: To mark emails as read and organize your inbox

- Name (optional, for personalization)
- Account settings and preferences
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your Gmail data exclusively to:
- Generate AI responses: Process incoming emails to create contextual, intelligent replies
- Automate email handling: Send responses, mark emails as read, and organize your inbox
- Improve service quality: Analyze conversation patterns to enhance AI accuracy (with your consent)
- Provide support: Troubleshoot issues and improve user experience
4. Data Storage and Security
4.1 Security Measures
- Encryption at rest: All data encrypted using AWS KMS (256-bit AES)
- Encryption in transit: TLS 1.3 for all API communications
- Access tokens: OAuth tokens encrypted separately in AWS DynamoDB
- Infrastructure: Hosted on AWS with SOC 2 compliance
4.2 Data Location
Your data is stored in AWS us-east-1 (Virginia) region.
5. Data Retention
- Email content: Processed in real-time, not stored permanently
- Conversation metadata: Retained for 90 days for conversation history
- Access tokens: Stored until you disconnect your Gmail account
- Account data: Retained until account deletion
6. Data Sharing
We do NOT:
- Sell your email data
- Rent your email data
- Share your email data for advertising purposes
- Use your email data to train public AI models
We ONLY share with:
- Amazon Bedrock: For AI processing (temporary, not stored by Bedrock)
- AWS Services: For infrastructure (encrypted storage in DynamoDB and S3)
All data sharing is strictly limited to providing and improving our service. We never share your data with third parties for their own purposes.
7. Your Rights and Controls
7.1 Access and Control
- Revoke access: Disconnect Gmail anytime in Settings → Integrations
- View data: Access your conversation history in the dashboard
- Export data: Download your conversation history and settings
- Delete data: Request complete data deletion via privacy@timely.support
7.2 Google Account Permissions
You can also revoke access directly from your Google Account:
- Visit Google Account Permissions
- Find "Timely Support"
- Click "Remove Access"
8. Gmail API Compliance
Timely Support's use of information received from Gmail APIs adheres to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Limited Use Disclosure: Timely Support's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
9. Cookies and Tracking
We use essential cookies for:
- Authentication (session management)
- User preferences
- Security (CSRF protection)
We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
10. Children's Privacy
Our service is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

12. International Users
If you are accessing our service from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
